umm lots of grass being eaten lately... not much happening. I have been taking him down to adult riding a bit to muck round and he has been good even in the stupid wind.
Roos been good to and has finally figured out that head butting me won't get her food!

I took Cruize to stpeters today and something clicked in his head that made him jump like a proper horse! for the first time ever he was jumping with his legs even(ish) and wasnt hanging his shoulders on the ground! I was very proud of him. Also was proud of him for jumping a single box (normally our aim is not good enough!) Gina jumped on and he went so much nicer than he ever goes for me and he tried really hard for her when he jumped! thats about it :) and some photos (thanks to Gina!)...

update?

After almost 2 months I finally remembed I have a blog and should update it.

When I came back from HOY, cruize had bad mudfever and was lame for a week. He also got a really bad cold and was really unhappy!
so the next day I got my old pony Roo back (had her before i had cruize) as a paddock mate for him. He has been soo much happier since then. He spends way more time eating instead of staring accross the road at the other horses. They get on good too and Roo is full of energy and still gets excited about her little feeds (shes 25 now)

Evetually after some on and off lameness his mudfever is basically gone.
A few weekends ago i took him to Waihao dressage where he came last and 5th in his noivce tests. He bucked and threw himself around and couldnt of acted much worse. He even broke his halter and went for a nice gallop around the grounds (bastard).

But considering he hadnt been out in awhile i expected it to go not too well! I still had fun.

I got a job at subway! its cool and the people are neat and its money so yea. Just decided I want to go be a cop next year tho - so might go to police college for 6months in welly. If i do go ill have to take cruize so will need to find some grazing!!

Apart from that gina let me come jump at hers tonight and she took some awesome photos! He was good, keen to jump and only had a few runouts/poles that were basicaly my fault (not steering very well and riding like crap lol) Thats basically it.

Yay

Yay! I took Cruize to morrisnville A&P today to do the dressage, and he was good! We wern't amazing ( and never are! lol) and it was unregistered, but he got 2nd in the 2.2 and 5th in the 1.1.
He rocks. He was nice and relaxed and even which is a first for a dressage day.

I blog again!

Once again i forgot to blog (this time for a month! lol) not that it matters, my blogs r so dull no1 would bother reading them anyway lol.

In the last month:
I took Cruize to a friends place and he was relaxed/ok she got on and he went soo damn nice! its so unfair! I ride like a PC beginner/like i hav a carrot up my arse. I hate it!! So the next day i tried riding a bit more "relaxed" i looked like a hunched up patato sack. AGH (but he was dressed in white bandages so felt pretty flash)

Silly Cruize pulled a shoe of and went a but sore on it so I couldnt ride him for about a week.
BUT in that time the paddock finally got cut! So now i can see the ground (and after all the rain some GRASS is growing!).
Cruize also got his back done, aprently he had 2 vertabrae thingys (S something?) out.

So i hacked him for 2 days after he had a (nother) few days off because of his back and he was really good. Then i was really smart and entered dressage for this friday. WTF it was a year ago in april the last time i competed. (apart from 1 ribbon day!) And we dont do "dressage" atm we just slob around out on the road!
Anyway took him to adult riding last night and (stole friends saddle so i could jump) he went ok./ He was twisting a bit over the jumps so i was thinking o crap hes sore but as they got a lil bit higher (1m) he started jumping better. He was a bit of an arse over the bank a few times tho, I have no idea why! but thats ok we had fun.

OOO the most exciting thing is::: If i can get a fulltime job I am allowed to (lease) Roo (old pony) back off her current owner who is almost 17 so coming off ponies, as a paddock mate for Cruize!! how awesome will that be!! But its gunna b so expensive :( but thats ok its worth it cos Cruize is a bit moopy all by himself!

Trekking

Went trkking up whitehall yesterday with friend Hannah and her horse Dawn (who spent the night in Cruizes paddock).
It was a really neat as trek and everyone was sooo nice but man
HOW EMBARRISING!!!
I had the most crazy damn hors eon it. He was headflickign and jogging the entire time! after 10mins he was dripping with sweat. By the end of the trek I had never heard him breath so hard or seen hi msweat so much!
He was throwing himself aorund going downhill, I had no choice but to let him go uphill because he would neither go sideways very quickly toward a fence, or throw himself around and nearly hit people. I feel bad cos i know he upset a few horses, and we hooned past quite a few people but I didnt have a choice! I had fun tho. And meet some really nice people! (e.g Sharon and her lovely palo mare who was awesome as, a dude with a mule [I want a mule!] and a lady from waikato hunt who was very engraging about taking him hunting. Apprently her horse is nuts on a trek but fine hunting. So maybe there is some hope for cruize?)
Thats about it. I have no photos and hannah got one but cruize and me look TERRIBLE lol

I rock at blogging

Actually I suck at keeping up to date with blogs. Its not like my life is busy anyway lol

Well since the beach, Cruize has done a few trips out. Hes been for a sleep over at a friends then to a ribbon day, then for a ride at another friends then to adult riding then friends again + a few more adult ridings and heap0s of road rides. Not much training or anything going on about now lol Also Cruize found his twin. The only difference is a slight age gap (4 years) cruize has an extra pathetic back sock and he the twin is a slightly darker bay.

We went to ham light horse club ribbon day after changing my mind weather or not to go so many times. Anyway i made the effort to plait him and my friend made as change to the open ring (we were in senior improver) cos it was too crowded. But turns out i would of looked silly in the improver one anyway lol and the senior was alot more fun with lots of nice adults in it not snobby teenagers (ikk) lol. Anyway Cruize was a totaly tosser but I only wanted a ribbon (he hasnt got one for like a year so I thought he needed one) and he ended up (a few tantrums and terrible jumps later) with Reserve champ. I think the judge thought he was young and learning lol if she knew he was 10 and was normally 10x better behaved and was just acting like a tosser she wouldn't of given it to me lol! But im not complaining haha got a nice sash for him (a few days early i was saying how he had barely any while friend had about 1000 lol)
Forgot to mention his crappy jumpign style which there is a photo of down there. That is why i say he has a crappy style - cos he does!! lol

Anyway took him to friends house today and she was going to give me a lesson but we really ouldnt be bothered so I just jumped him bareback - I am wearing jodz but they are banana coloured so it looks like im not lol! It was fun. He was being an ass after the jumps but thats ok lol thats about it
